Is a reinvention of the soup kitchen with a side of the most nutrient dense baked goods. When we think of a bakery we typically think of sugar coated, sweet, cookies, pastries & croissants. But this vulnerable population is often consuming a high amount of inflammatory, processed foods, allergens, saturated fats as well as low protein, with low quality ingredients. So it is our mission to increase the nutrient density available to them, in something that tastes delicious and pairs well with their soup. We will be very intentional in our ingredient sourcing and the ways we are making each item. This means we will not source something that we would not purchase for ourselves. Our passion for food will be expressed and seen through this project.
This initiative will allow anyone that is hungry and in need of a meal to have something that fills them up. It does not matter who you are what you look like or what your situation is, this will be available to you. This is often a barrier where individuals, families, men and women fall through the crack of eligibility, how often they can access services, their income, or the days meals are available. Our program will offer consistency and stability for this vulnerable population.
We also want to address the stigma and powerlessness of asking for help, there can be so much shame and judgment about not having food, being seen by others in that moment of vulnerability. Stories and beliefs we have about what it means about us as a person. Or what others will think of us or say to us or how they will speak to us. Most of these services are offered away from our eyes, within the corners, communities, and programs. There is this hiddenness, closure, collapse, and anger. There is often consciously or unconsciously this desire to run away, and not be seen. And for a majority of the population to not look. We have to ask ourselves what are we not looking at because it would be too painful, unimaginable, or not knowing how to feel like we are making a difference. We should be angry, we can do something, and it should been seen.
This initiative's health focus is on, molecular, cellular and mitochondrial health, bioindividuality, inflammation, nutrition, hydration, genetic expression, preventative medicine, detoxification, fascial, muscle & tissue health, neurobiology, intestinal and gastroenterological health.
It is a way for you to give back, uplift vulnerable populations, and allow your success and financial contributions to amplify the meaningfulness of this program. We want to make food that brings you alive.
